Army nursing cadets are gaining hands-on clinical experience at Winn Army Community Hospital through the Army Nurse Summer Training Program, working alongside Army healthcare professionals to prepare for future service while supporting the Army’s mission of sustaining a medically ready force. The annual program places Army nursing students in military treatment facilities where they train alongside experienced Army healthcare professionals. At Winn, cadets care for active-duty Soldiers, Family members, and retirees while developing the clinical and leadership skills required of Army nurses. The hands-on experience bridges classroom instruction with military patient care, preparing the next generation of Army medical professionals.

Leadership of U.S. Army Medical Department Activity–Fort Stewart officially transitioned July 8 as Col. Margaret Berryman relinquished command of Winn Army Community Hospital to Col. Alex Montgomery during a change of command ceremony at Cashe Garden. Brig. Gen. A crucial node of patient care for Spartan Soldiers is once again open for business at Marne Medic Troop Medical Clinic on Fort Stewart. Leaders and Soldiers from 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team and Winn Army Community Hospital gathered April 2 to cut the ribbon at the clinic’s pharmacy.
