To make an appointment call 571-802-0394 to make an in-person or telehealth appointment . Other resources, if phone lines are not available, is the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal to message service to your Primary Health Care provider; and the TRICARE Nurse Advise Line at 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273), option 1.
Access to Care
If you need to get care at Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield medical treatment facilities, the priorities for getting appointments are identified in Department of Defense policy and are listed below:
- Active duty service members
- Active duty family members enrolled in TRICARE Select or TRICARE Young Adult – Select Option
All others can get care if space is available after [insert MTF name] has met the health care needs of the three categories listed above within DOD access standards. This includes:
- Active duty family members enrolled in TRICARE Select or TRICARE Young Adult – Select Option
- Retired service members and their eligible family members
- DOD civilians and contractors
All patients, including those listed for space-available care, can continue to visit our emergency department and fill prescriptions at any of our
pharmacies.
Acute- 24 hours
Routine- 7 days
Physicals and specialty care- 28 days

Referral Management
To check on a referral, you can call referral management at 571-802-0337.
If your referral was sent to the purchase care network (downtown) please call TRICARE at 800-444-5445.
Referral Process
- When a provider writes a referral, the Referral Management Office reviews it to see if Winn can provide the care.
- If Winn can provide the care, your referral will be assigned to Winn. If you do not receive a phone call from the assigned clinic within three business days, call the appointment line, 571-802-0394, to schedule your appointment.
- If Winn cannot provide the care, your referral is sent to TRICARE electronically. Call TRICARE at 1-800-444-5445 after three business days for your referral authorization information.
- You may not receive your authorization in the mail. Go to www.humanamilitary.com and register to view all information about your referrals, claims, and to print any documents.
- After you schedule your appointment with the network provider, call the Referral Management Office at 571-802-0337 and provide your appointment information so we can update your referral.
