Vaccine Schedule

Standard Schedule
|
The first dose is given at 12 months old, and the second dose is at 4 years old. |

Catch-up Schedule
|
If a child has not been vaccinated on schedule, they will need two doses given at least 28 days apart. |

High-Risk & Travel
|
With a provider's prescription, children as young as 6 months can receive the vaccine if they are at high risk or traveling to a high-risk area. These doses do not count toward the two required doses at 12 months and 4 years. |

Born before 1957
|
If you were born before 1957 and have not had two doses of the MMR vaccine, you are eligible. The two doses should be given 28 days apart.

| Booster Doses |
A booster dose is not typically needed if you are fully vaccinated. However, if public health identifies you as being at increased risk during an outbreak, you may be prescribed a booster.

Important Health Considerations

Unsure of Your Status? If you don't have your immunization records or are unsure if you've been vaccinated, talk to your healthcare provider. They can order lab tests to check your immunity.

Who should NOT get the vaccine? The MMR vaccine is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, have a severely weakened immune system, or have a known severe allergy to a previous MMR dose or its components.
