Family Advocacy Program
Misson:
To prevent spouse/partner abuse, child abuse, neglect, and intervene through professional assessment and treatment of abuse and neglect. To provide a supportive environment to victims, offenders, and family members after domestic violence incidents of at risk families. FAP strives to promote emotional, psychological and social well-being of individuals and families, to maintain confidentiality and follow ethical standards.

To advocate for the total well-being of Soldiers, families, and units so that they can make a maximum contribution to mission accomplishment.
FAP Provides:
- Outpatient clinical FAP by identifying, treating, preventing and resolving abuse/neglect incidents in collaboration with others of the behavioral health team.
- 24-hour emergency response to the Emergency Department for victims of sexual assault, spouse, child and elderly abuse/neglect.
- Ensuring the immediate safety and protection is provided for the identified victims and family members.
- Command consultation services on family matters, which can enhance unit combat readiness.
- Provide liaison with on-post and off-post community agencies to provide resources to families regarding behavioral health and community services.
- Treatment by FAP providers that include the following:
- Domestic Violence Treatment Program (Stress Management, Anger Management, Conflict Resolution)
- FAP Orientation Group
- Individual therapy
- Marital therapy
- Family therapy
- Group therapy
- Psycho-educational group therapy
- Refer Soldiers and family members to appropriate community agencies for services which include:
- Deployment and Reunion Therapy
- Alcohol/Drug counseling
- Spiritual counseling
- Victim Advocacy
- Grief therapy
FAP is regulated by various Federal Laws, State Statues and AR 608-18, The (FAP). Services are offered to eligible beneficiaries. FAP can also serve as a connection to other on and off-post services and resources not directly offered by FAP.
