Community Outreach
The United States Army Medical Support Activity – Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield and its Installation Medical Treatment Facilities services, is the medical home for the Soldiers and Families of the 3^rd Infantry Division and TRICARE beneficiaries in our neighboring communities for about 100 miles. Supporting the mission at home, regionally and globally, MEDDAC medical treatment facilities include Winn Army Community Hospital, Tuttle Army Health Center, Richmond Hill Medical Home, Hawks and Marne Troop Medical Clinics, MEDDAC employees are trained and prepared for a wide-spectrum of contingencies to meet the Nation’s needs.  MEDDAC wishes to maintain strong community bonds through participating in community events and activities – where resources allow. Requests for tours of the hospital, speaker engagements or healthcare education booths can be submitted through the MEDDAC Public affairs using the following form. Please remember, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, mitigation factors currently limit outreach capabilities.  Examples of request for our speaker’s bureau include topics ranging from TRICARE healthcare plans, Public health, Clinical medicine and Medical Education and Training.
 
Requesting support
MEDDAC Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield request at least 90 days advance notice to provide adequate time to check resource availability and to conduct legal reviews.  We can typically provide a status update within 10 business days after receipt. Some requests may take longer if the request impacts resources outside MEDDAC control.  According to Installation Public Affairs policy, found at https://home.army.mil/stewart/index.php/about/Garrison/garrison-staff-offices/PAO, requests that impact 3^rd Infantry Division or Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield, either personnel or facilities, the request must include a Department of the Army Form 2536, and the request must be made 120 days out.  This is in-part to provide time to de-conflict resource issues.
