MHS GENESIS Prescription Refill Status: 

The MHS GENESIS prescription refill function is underway; but is not yet available on Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield.  

The ScriptCenter is available on Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield.  The Fort Stewart ScriptCenter is co-located at Winn ACH’s Emergency Room lobby, healthcare products 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The Hunter AAF ScriptCenter is  is located in the Hunter Exchange lobby, 130 Haley Drive Building 6020.  It is available 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Express Scripts® Pharmacy serves are also available 24/7 at https://www.express-scripts.com/rx

Policies

ID Cards

It is necessary to provide the military ID card of the patient (if 10 years old or older), or a current copy of the ID card, when obtaining a prescription at any military pharmacy or TRICARE Retail Network Pharmacy to help establish eligibility and authorization. It is permissible for military ID cards to be photocopied (front & back) to assist in eligibility verification and for the purpose of rendering care.

Controlled Substance Prescriptions

Installation pharmacies may only dispense a maximum of a 30-day supply of most controlled substances. The only authorized exception is for controlled substances prescribed for attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, which may be filled for up to a 90-day supply. Schedule III through Schedule V Medications may be written for a 30-day supply, with up to five refills.

  • Combine medications and possibly reduce unnecessary medication use.

  • Discuss and review treatment and goals.
  • Offer 30 and 60 minute appointment times to discuss medication concerns in depth.

Preparing for your appointment

Please bring your medications or a current list of your medications to every appointment with any new, discontinued, and/or recent dose changes. Please include any vitamins, supplements, and over the counter medications that you are currently taking. 
If you have diabetes, please also bring your blood sugar meter or log to each visit for review. 
If you need to cancel and/or reschedule your appointment please contact your clinic.
